We’re all guilty of overindulging throughout the holiday season. It’s so easy. There are a ton of holiday parties with boundless delights, cookies and treats overflowing your office’s kitchen and let’s not forget all the family shindigs that are an endless array of delectable delights.

But you don’t have to overeat throughout the holidays.

Use the chart below to get an idea of what type of portions you should be eating. Don’t rely on what restaurants pack on your plate or a simple “I think this is only a little” thought process.

Perfect Portions Guidelines:
  • Mashed Potatoes – keep portions to the size of a HALF of a tennis ball.
  • Cranberry Sauce – the ideal portion size is 4 tablespoons.
  • Champagne – when indulging in the bubbly, keep it to 2/3 of a flute.
  • Turkey – you only need 4 ounces which are roughly the equivalent of a deck of cards.
