Is Green Tea Effective for Weight Loss?

The EGCG in green tea helps increase the 24-hour energy expenditure of the body. A study on green tea by American and Swiss scientists at the University of Geneva showed an additional increase of 4% in the body’s natural energy expenditure. People given green tea were more likely to use up more fat than those not on green tea.
