The typical patient generally loses 1-2 pounds per week and 10 to 20 pounds per month as long as they adhere to the diet program guidelines. The average weight loss on the program is 42.4 pounds in 3 to 4 months (based on starting weight)!
I just had an EKG and/or blood work done. Can I bring that with me?
Our protocol requires us to perform an EKG and blood work during the initial visit. We will accept EKG’s and blood work results if they have been done within 3 months of your initial visit with us, however, this will not change the initial program fee. Based on your test results, our physicians may order additional tests when your weight loss goals are achieved to assess for improvement, which in many cases is amazzing! These follow-up tests are performed at no additional charge to you.

It is important to realize require weekly visits to assess your progress, monitor your vital signs, dispense your medication. We make any indicated changes that may be needed to help you achieve your goal weight. Occassionaly you may need to be out one or more weeks and we ill make arrangements for you accordingly. Regardless, the ultimate goal is a healthy lifestyle.
About Exercise
Does the program incorporate any exercise?
We recommend that our patients continue any regular exercise that they are accustomed to. Basically we will modify the plan accordingly. Although we do not specifically require a determined amount of exercise, our weight loss program slowly recommends and introduces a certain amount of exercise, brisk walking in particular, that significantly improves overall health, felling good and quality of life. As progress is made, more detailed instrictions will be offered. Strength training is a key part to keeping the weight off and keeping your muscle mass as you age.
About existing medical problems
Another common question is – What happens if I have medical problems? Will I be able to enroll?
Almost everyone who joins our program has a medical problem. Especially those associated with being overweight such as high blood pressure, type II diabetes and high cholesterol. Our doctor and nurse are both experts in figuring out whether you are a good candidate for our program. However we may have concerns based on your medical history or test results. In this case we will obtain recommendations from your doctor. If medical approval from your primary care doctor or sub-specialist is necessary we can request it. Notwithstanding modifications to the program are made for every individual patient to meet their own unique needs.
